Where Water Becomes Colour
When water retreats, it leaves colour behind.

These four works capture the extraordinary chromatic transformation that occurs when tidal and mineral-rich waters recede across remote Australian terrain. Seen from altitude, what remains is not mud or sediment but pure colour — ochre, gold, sage and warm earth tones arranged in forms that defy expectation. The cracked surfaces, geometric fields and diagonal lines read as abstract painting, yet every mark was made by water, mineral and time. Where Water Becomes Colour is a series about what the land reveals when the water is gone.
