Mountains and Atmosphere

Mountains & Atmosphere brings together works shaped by rock, cloud, light, weather and scale.

Some images are black and white, where the colour falls away and everything becomes about form, texture and presence. Others may hold colour, but the feeling is the same — mountains seen in changing light, shifting weather and moments that made me stop.

I am usually drawn to colour first, but mountain landscapes often hold me in a different way. It is the scale, the silence, the cloud moving across the peaks and the way light can completely change the mood of the scene.
