Where stone meets sky and silence is the only witness.

Stone and Silence was created in Patagonia, and it stopped me in a completely different way.

I am usually pulled in by colour first, but here it was the scale, the weather and the sheer presence of the mountains. The peaks kept appearing and disappearing through cloud, and every change in light made the scene feel different.

Black and white felt right for this series because the mountains didn’t need colour. Without it, I could focus on the rock, the cloud, the texture, the light and the atmosphere. Everything felt simpler, stronger and more powerful.

What I loved most was the contrast — these huge ancient mountains, but with cloud and weather constantly moving around them. Nothing felt still for long, yet the mountains themselves felt completely immovable.
