Where atmosphere becomes form and form dissolves back into light.
What stopped me first was the colour. The water shifted from turquoise to blue, then into soft green, white sand, pale gold and little hints of mauve. From above, the sandbanks seemed to drift through the water, appearing and disappearing as the light changed.
I loved how nothing felt fixed. One shape dissolved into another. Edges softened. The water and sand seemed to move together, creating patterns I could never have seen from the ground.
This is what excites me about aerial photography. A familiar landscape suddenly becomes colour, movement and shape. It feels real and almost unreal at the same time.
