From above, the salt fields became bold blocks of bronze, yellow and green, divided by strong white lines of salt.

I loved the way the colours sat beside each other so confidently. What was practical and industrial on the ground became something completely different from the air — colour, structure, texture and pattern.

Chromatic Divide is part of my Where Water Becomes Colour series, this collection about the way water, salt and earth transform into colour when seen from above. This work was awarded The Judges Choice Award by Mark Bryant in the International Imaging Competition. Chromatic Divide was also a part of the series that won the 1st place Professional entry for Julia Margaret Cameron Awards.

Chromatic Divide is a strong statement work with a rich earthy palette. The bronze, gold, green and white tones suit contemporary interiors, architectural homes, offices, boutique accommodation, boardrooms and spaces with natural materials such as timber, stone, leather, concrete or linen.
