Drift of Gold was one of those images where the colour immediately stopped me.
That wonderful area of gold seems to drift across the frame, surrounded by blue, lavender, mauve and little touches of pink. From above, the colours merge and overlap in ways that make the landscape look almost painted.
Then I started noticing the detail. There are tiny marks, cracks, patterns and changes in texture everywhere. The more I look at it, the more I find.
This is what I love about photographing these landscapes from above. Once the horizon disappears, I'm no longer looking for a traditional landscape. I'm looking at colour, shape and texture—and sometimes nature gives me combinations I would never have thought to put together myself.

Interior Design Suggestions
Drift of Gold has quite a different personality depending on which colour you pick up from it.
The gold brings warmth, while the blues and lavender keep it fresh. Against a warm white or neutral wall, I think the colours would really come alive. It would also work beautifully with pale or medium timber, natural stone, linen and understated furnishings.
For a more colourful interior, you could pull out either the blue or gold in cushions, fabrics or smaller objects without needing to match the artwork exactly.
Being square also makes this a very versatile piece. It would work above a console, in a living room, bedroom or entrance, and I think it could look spectacular printed at a substantial size where all those tiny textures become visible.
