The wider view reveals the edges, divisions and geometry of the salt evaporation pond, and suddenly that little shape that seemed so important in Open Circuit becomes just one small part of the landscape.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI really like that change in perspective.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn Open Circuit, I moved in close and the square became almost completely abstract. Enclosure pulled back and started to give it some context. With Threshold, the landscape finally opens up and we begin to understand where that small shape actually sits.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe extraordinary orange still dominates, but now there is much more going on—strong lines, corners, different textures and the contrasting edges of the pond.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThreshold completes my Boundaries series, exploring how dramatically our understanding of a landscape can change simply by changing perspective.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInterior Design Suggestions\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThreshold is the most expansive of the three Boundaries works.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe intense orange gives it immediate impact, while the dark lines and geometric structure make it feel very contemporary. It would work particularly well with charcoal, black, warm white, concrete, stone and natural timber.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI think this image needs to be printed at a generous size.
